After several years away from Aotearoa, our clients purchased the former Mofflin Villa on the North Shore to make their home coming. We worked with our clients to develop the interior design and spatial strategy to suit the family’s needs. It was also important to honor the character and history of the villa.

We strategized to treat the newly built extension as a portal from the historic villa into a contemporary living area. In the new extension, a simple palette of warm timber lines the walls and floor complementing its connection to garden. Carefully considered skylight placement draws in light to the living spaces and the shower room.
