dwelling in the garden

RESIDENTIAL

garden dwelling

A desire for multigenerational living inspired this cosy and characterful minor dwelling in the front garden.  The building hunkers down on the edge of the sites boundary, anchored by strong blockwork and enclosed with softer timber shingle walls. The building hugs the perennial garden within the site.

The interior is lifted by datum of lightness and high level windows, and grounded by a palate of warm Rimu panels, burgundy tiles and handmade timber parquet floors.
